Wool- Silk Clothing

Clothes made of silk-wool blends combine the good qualities of both materials. They are especially suitable for sensitive skin. Wool warms, silk lies smoothly on the skin.

Wool hairs are protein fibres, they are similar in composition to human skin. Sheep's wool, also known as woollen hair has fine scales lying in steps on top of each other, these are characteristic of sheep's wool. If treated incorrectly, the outer scales can become interlocked, so that the scales become tightly interlocked, i.e. the wool felts. Merino virgin wool comes from the merino sheep, it is finely crimped, very cuddly and particularly soft.

Wool can absorb up to 35% of its own weight in moisture and does not feel wet. Wool is naturally greasy and very elastic. It repels dirt and water and has a temperature-balancing and regulating effect.

Silk it is light and wonderfully cuddly, it is very robust and very tear-resistant! Silk is very similar to skin, it is particularly skin-friendly and tempering. Silk absorbs up to 30% of its own weight in moisture and dries quickly.

Airing instead of washing!

Woolen garments should be washed very gently, ideally by hand, in lukewarm water! Wringing or rubbing will cause matting! Due to their dirt-repelling properties, frequent washing is not necessary! Wool can regulate itself with oxygen-rich air.
