Georg Dreißig, born in 1950 in Eschwege, studied medicine after his time at Waldorf School in Berlin and then moved to the Christian Community Seminary in Stuttgart. After his ordination in 1977 he was sent to Johannesburg, South Africa for three years. Afterwards he worked until 2012 as editor-in-chief for the monthly magazine "Die Christengemeinschaft" in Stuttgart. In addition to teaching at the seminary in Stuttgart, he is also active as a parish priest and author of children's books. He is the author of the wonderful books "The Light in the Lantern" and "The Gold of the Poor". The Verlag Freies Geistesleben is one of the leading publishers for anthroposophy and Waldorf education and can look back on a publishing history of over 70 years.
