Wool is particularly elastic, dirt and water repellent. it balances temperature and regulates warmth. wool warms better than most other materials. skin respiration and fabric exchange are regulated. wool can absorb up to 35% of its own weight in moisture, yet the garment does not feel wet and warms reliably at the same time.
Due to its dirt-repellent properties, washing too often is unnecessary! Airing outdoors is sufficient.
Woolen garments should be washed very gently and by hand in lukewarm water, do not wring or rub them, otherwise they will become matted.
