Why is baby clothing made of wool and silk, ideal for baby ?

Baby clothes should be practical, comfortable, easy to care for, and good for the newborn's skin. Soft wool-silk clothes have many good qualities.

If the baby wears clothes made of wool, the baby's skin will not cool down so quickly! Wool fibres absorb a lot of moisture and wick it away from the baby's body. Wool clothes keep the baby safely warm and dry. If the baby sweats, it can easily cool down if it is dressed in clothes made of synthetic fibres.

Organic wool is naturally dirt-repellent. The wool fibre is made of keratin. Keratin breaks down bacteria and is therefore self-cleaning. It is therefore sufficient to only air baby clothes made of wool-silk blends if they are slightly soiled and only wash them after they have been worn several times or if they are heavily soiled!

Silk is particularly kind to the skin as it is similar to our skin structure. Clothing made of silk is also suitable for children with neurodermatitis. The wool fibres are warming, while silk has cooling properties.
