Made from FSC-certified wood, the building blocks with bark are heat-treated, sanded and oiled.

Magic Wood wooden building blocks

The original idea for the wooden building blocks came from a Waldorf teacher in the USA.He noticed that children in the transition to the second year feel a great desire to construct and build.Unfortunately, conventional wooden building blocks did not satisfy this urge, as their natural and uneven shape meant that larger structures could not be realised.So he came up with the idea of leaving the natural shape and bark on one side of ordinary branches and tree discs, but standardising the spacing.The result is blocks with a height of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 cm.
