Modelling in the Waldorf kindergarten

Modelling in the Waldorf kindergarten is often done with natural materials such as clay, modelling clay or modelling beeswax. These materials offer the children a sensory experience and allow them to experiment with different textures and shapes. By working with their hands, the children develop a fine feel for materials and learn to transform their ideas into tangible forms.

The activity of modelling in Waldorf kindergarten is not only focused on the end result, but rather emphasises the process of creative work. The children have the freedom to explore their own ideas and shape their artwork according to their individual ideas. The focus is on the children's self-development and self-efficacy as they express their imagination and strengthen their self-confidence.
