Paint the bag

Use fabric paints to add a creative touch to the bag. Add a name or the recipient's favourite animal. There are no limits to your imagination. If you use fabric paints that have to be ironed in, put blotting paper or normal writing paper in the bag so that the paints don't bleed through!

Felting the bag

Material needed:

• Wool
• Felting needles
• Felt pad or felt brush

To felt the bag with wool, place it open and inside out on a felt pad or a felt brush.
Lay the wool on top and felt it firmly onto the bag with a felting needle.

Repeat until the wool is firmly attached to the fabric. To make the surface fluffy, turn the bag over and now pierce the fabric from the inside out with the felting needle.

When the wool has an even surface, accurately stitch the edges with the felting needle. The same technique works for cushions or larger shoulder bags!
