Balloon car
Item number 36680
It's not just little car fans who will want to speed off with the balloon car straight away. This speedster really is something very special, as it is not powered by an engine or a pull-back drive. A balloon alone is responsible for its forward motion. The balloon drive works on the so-called recoil principle. But what is behind this scientific phenomenon? The car works according to the law of the actio-reactio principle. The air escaping from the balloon propels it, replacing the motor and battery. This experiment is so simple that it is ingenious again and illustrates the physical laws of overpressure and recoil to children of primary school age. In addition to the wooden car and the balloon, there is also lots of exciting information about the scientific phenomenon of "recoil" inside the packaging. This not only teaches children why the car can only travel on air, but also that even octopuses and rockets travel on a similar principle.
