About the Advent calendar

The custom of the Advent calendar has existed since the 19th century.The basic principle is that it shows the remaining days until Christmas.In its design, however, it is widespread in many forms.The earlier Advent calendars were quite plain.For example, families gradually hung 24 pictures on the wall.Even simpler was the variant in which 24 chalk lines were drawn on the door or wall as an Advent calendar.The children were then allowed to wipe away one line every day.
