Habitat & Facts

The panther, also known as the black panther, is a member of the big cat family.The panther is very strong and adapts well to a variety of habitats.It is known for being one of the strongest climbers among cats.They are most commonly found in tropical forests and deciduous forests, but the panther also lives in swamps and marshes, meadows and even more inhospitable areas such as deserts and mountains.The exact diet of the panther depends on where in the world it lives, although medium to large herbivores are the panther's main diet, including deer, warthogs, wild boar, tapirs and antelopes.Panthers are native to Asia, Africa and America.
