Deuter

Lessons at the Waldorf School

At the Waldorf school, the pupils are taught in the same class for twelve years. The various developmental steps, such as the Rubicon and puberty, can thus take place in a familiar social setting, without disruptive transfers to secondary schools. The pupils experience the change to the middle school and later to the upper school together, and thus have a constant in times of inner change. In the book "Das ist Waldorfschule" (This is Waldorf School) by Wolfgang Held or in more depth in "Die Erziehung des Kindes" (The Education of the Child) by Rudolf Steiner, basic anthroposophical and Waldorf educational ideas can be read. To experience spaces in this constant, in which one's very own and individual can be tried out and lived, is immensely important on the path to adulthood.
