Shut the box, a traditional dice game. This game with dice and numbers is very suitable for the playful handling of numbers and for the decomposition of numbers in arithmetic lessons.

Here's how it works:
A game consists of several rounds. When it is a player's turn, all flaps are opened first. Then he starts his game with two dice and closes the flaps of the corresponding numbers. Closing the flaps is done according to the following rule: any decomposition of the eye sum may be used. i.e. if the two dice show e.g. a 6 and a 3, any decomposition of the eye sum 9, i.e. 9, 1+8, 2+7, 3+6, 4+5, 1+2+6, 1+3+5, may be chosen and the flaps with these numbers may be closed. If the sum of the still open flaps is 6 or less, only one dice is used. The turn ends as soon as no more flaps can be closed.
