The company Decor-Spielzeug was founded in 1957 by Eberhart Schmidt in Kassel as a licensed company of Decor in Dornach (Switzerland). Decor was the first company to operate a "workshop for people with disabilities" in the area around Kassel. Decor produces educational wooden toys in an artistic and handicraft way. Since 2016, Decor has been operating out of Wendland. Production takes place in its own workshop on site. In recent years, the focus has been on the technical development of production processes. In the meantime, Decor consists of a stable core team of 5 people who jointly organise production, sales and the coordination of suppliers.

Wooden toys from Decor

Decor wooden toys are characterised by a love of toys. Only local woods are used. Great importance is attached to ecological processing and sensible recycling of leftovers. Depending on the product, the surface treatment is carried out with hot wax or oils and wood varnishes, e.g. from Biofa. All articles are manufactured in accordance with the European CE standard.
