Why play learning games?

With the start of the school years, the children enter the second seven years. Strengths that were previously still tied up in building up the physical body are now freed up and available for cognitive processes. The children enjoy learning and the first graders-to-be are already looking forward to the new stage in kindergarten. We often experience boredom in kindergarten children towards the end of their kindergarten years. This indicates that the children are ready for the step into school. If we offer the children learning games in this preschool period, then they can build up knowledge through these children's games, which will make the transition into school easier for them, but at the same time also holistically promote their abilities.

Educational games at Waldorfshop

In our online shop, we offer toys and games for children in kindergarten and school. Learning games impart knowledge, skills and abilities in a playful way. Since children usually combine playing games with having fun, learning becomes child's play here.

Letter learning games

Learning letters is child's play! This is possible with the letter cards, which we offer online from Grimms, among others, and with the letter posters. With these learning games, children can familiarise themselves with the letters in a playful way already in kindergarten. For pupils at school, these games help them to connect the lower and upper case letters of the alphabet.

Learning games for numbers

We also offer learning games for the area of mathematics. The number cards and posters are also suitable for children in kindergarten and pupils in the first years at school.

Furthermore, we offer the colour game by Romanswerk. This learning game brings a lot of joy to young and old.

It trains

• fine motor skills through the use of the tweezers and three-point grip.

• the children's sense of touch through the natural material sheep's wool.

• learning to recognise and name colours.

• the children's ability to calculate in the number range 10 or 100.

• the children's creativity, as there are no specific instructions for playing.

With the multiplication wheel, 12 different number games can be played with 100 cards from 1-100 n. Schoolchildren thus learn about the different types of arithmetic and in particular a playful approach to the multiplication table.

With the children's game "Step Counting Sticks" by Grimms, children are immersed in a playful learning of proportions and understanding of quantities. The beautiful, coloured building blocks make the different number ratios visible.
